I ordered this model wondering what kind of kit it would be to build, and ill say that I was pleasantly surprised!!
The main body of the tank, as well as the turret/gun are two separate resin molded pieces. They feel dense and sturdy, yet the side skirts can be manipulated by heating them up with hot water.
The rest of the smaller pieces are Metal, I'm not sure what kind, but they feel nice and heavy, while also being easy to cut and bend without brining out any fancy tools.
Now for the critique.
-The front of the hull was ridden with imperfection. There was a rather large air bubble on the left drive shaft armor. (not sure what else to call it).
-the frontal hull armor had a ton of ruffage, right in the places my blade couldn't reach. So was not able to get quite all of it.
-There were two tiny metal hooks of some sort? Tow hooks maybe? I couldn't even tell where they went, but even if I knew, they were in bad shape. I assume they were just way too small to be molded accurately.
Imperfections are a natural consequence of this hobby, so its just part of the fun to fix them up.
But those are just minor woes with the model, everything else went swimmingly, I really loved how dense and sturdy the whole kit felt together. The hatch is a separate piece, meaning you can easily add a tank commander (which is exactly what I did (:< ).
